Beverly Sheets Pugh serves as the Music Coordinator and Chime Choir Director at First Reformed, bringing a deep history of music ministry that also included a prior role as the Children's Choir Director. Bev retired after a distinguished career in education that included serving as an elementary and middle school teacher, teacher trainer, and middle school principal. Her connection to the UCC goes back even further, as she served as a Choir Director at another church before moving to Alamance County. Since retiring in 2015, Bev has explored her creative side, earning a culinary degree from Alamance Community College to create Bev's Baked Goods. When she's not leading music or baking, Bev is a devoted sports fan who especially enjoys following the Atlanta Braves, and she cherishes her time as "Granna" to two granddaughters nearby.
